Chihuahua Dog Haired Long
A chihuahua dog haired long is not usually found in a rescue, especially of a puppy age.
These canines have a saucy and undaunted temperament. They are quite territorial and can be suspicious of strangers. The presence of strangers can frustrate or agitate them, and during this time they usually follow their owners around. They can be fairly wary of other canines, but tend to be friendly with their own like. Somehow, long-coated animals are more amiable than smooth-coated ones. In Great Britain, these two varieties are considered to be separate breeds. Smooth-coats are more popular in America. The breed originated from the ancient Techichi breed that was popular among Aztecs and Toltecs.

Chihuahua Dog Haired Long -
rescue, puppy
There exist two types of this breed: long-coated and short-coated. Any coat color and pattern is acceptable, though solid colors are preferable. The show quality animals should not exceed 6 pounds in weight, but pet quality animals can be much larger. The body of these creatures is longer than height; the rib cage is compact with rounded ribs. A rounded skull and a tiny muzzle are typical characteristics of the breed. The eyes are luminous and large; the ears are also large and held erect. A chihuahua dog haired long is not usually found in a rescue, especially of a puppy age.
