A chihuahua rescue kennel will be a rescue devoted primarily to chihuahua and chihuahua mix breeds.
Although these dogs are relatively easy to care for, it takes a great deal of love and devotion to raise a loving and intelligent companion. These tiny dogs are intolerant of cold, and hence should not be exposed to wind, rain or snow. They do okay in small apartments, but they do appreciate walks and can spend as much time outside as possible. On cool days, you can put a sweater on your dog. Being the smallest dog on earth, he does well without a yard. These dogs can be quite nervous, and they are intolerant of teasing.

Adopting a dog of this breed, every prospective owner has to pay a small donation and fill out an application to prove he/she is able to provide the dog with all necessary care. You may wait for many months until the suitable dog is found. Sometimes it is necessary to keep the dogs in foster homes for them to socialize and rehabilitate, especially if they lived in cruelty and have been abused.
