Dog Breeder
A consientious dog breeder will support the local rescues and help with the corrective training of the dogs.
Chihuahua puppies and some adult species have an open molera, a soft spot on their head; this is natural, but makes them vulnerable to head injuries. They have a very delicate bone structure and hence are prone to fractures. Chihuahuas are very watchful, and have a number of terrier-like qualities. They are very sensitive to cold and appreciate a warm sweater on cooler days. After a walk in rainy weather, the dog should be warmed immediately. Dogs with pronounced stops are prone to wheezing breath, and should be regularly examined for respiratory diseases.

Dog Breeder -
rescues, training
Chihuahuas are lightly built, tiny dogs that are characterized by a large rounded skull and big dark eyes. They come in two coat varieties: the smooth-coated and long-coated. These dogs measure less than 8 inches tall and weigh between 2-4 pounds. Purebred Chihuahuas should be free from genetically inherited diseases. They should conform to the breed standard and be able to participate in dog shows and win awards. A potential buyer should be able to see a pedigree, reference and registration papers, and medical records. A consientious dog breeder will support the local rescues and help with the corrective training of the dogs.
